Formed in Eltham in 1975 as Eltham Green Fellowship at 4 Eltham Green, the church grew within the next 18 months to 100 people gathering in the home. God was moving in amazing ways at the time we moved three doors up to 1 Eltham Green for the main meetings while the Sunday School remained at number 4. Soon the numbers had reached 130 people. We had to soon move on as the gathering was causing problems for the neighbours.
In 1981 after some temporary homes the church purchased the Methodist Church building on the corner of Haimo Road, a short distance from Eltham Green. In 1982 the church moved in and this has been our church building since. The building has grown through development to include more rooms, a larger main hall, two residential flats and more recently a Coffee Shop.
Our heart has always been to be a centre in the community where the church and local community can connect together, with the church blessing the local community. In 2017 we started the Fresh Ground Coffee House which has seen our building opened up for many who simply want to have a drink or lunch, or to attend a wide variety of activities for the family.

Discover what makes us who we are

We are part of a network of churches called MissionLifeGrace (MLG). A group of churches walking together to love God, share the love of God to the world and grow disciples. We are all independent but share the same heart for God. We are evangelical, charismatic and seek to live out the life of God in holy living as we see in the scriptures.

Originally started as a house church we still hold those benefits of family life. We love to do things together including our children. We love to care for and support one another. We certainly are not a church that is content to 'just turn up'.

We believe that church is more than a Sunday meeting. Community Groups (Life Groups) are at the heart of how we do church. These smaller groups meet regularly to study the Bible, pray together, support one another, and reach out to our community.
We believe that God creates each movement of churches distinct, destined to fulfil a divinely appointed purpose for a specific time, with different emphasis according to the will of God.
We want to be a joyful people, who enjoy and celebrate Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour, knowing we are loved, accepted and made righteous by Him.
We recognise the foundational significance of the simple truth that it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. We must die to sin and our selfish desires and live new lives unto God.
As churches we seek to walk in and minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit brings vitality to the life of a believer and a church and guides our decision making.
We believe in the vital importance of prayer in the life of a Christian and a church, prayer is the means by which we find the joy of the Lord and the knowledge of his will.
We are humbled by the fact that Christ has entrusted the Gospel to us through the power of His Spirit to see broken lives restored and the lost saved.
We believe the manifold wisdom of God is displayed through the church, which is expressed through local churches.
Jesus Christ reigns as head over His church, and He gives to His church elders to oversee and lead local churches under His authority.
Our aim is to see the Kingdom of God come, where broken lives are restored, the lost are found and communities transformed. We believe every church exists to be part of God's mission to show the world Christ and that we are better equipped to do this in partnership with other churches.
As a network our focus is to encourage each other through sharing our hearts, ideas and lessons learned along the way, to challenge one another to stay true to the course and to invest in helping people fulfil their God given calling. We believe that by journeying together we can see God do great things in our nation and around the world.
